Ron Hays is a Professor of Medicine, Professor of Health Policy and Management, and RAND Corporation consultant. He specializes in research and teaching courses in health-related quality of life, patient experience with healthcare, and health-related behavior. Dr. Hays received his Ph.D. from UC Riverside. He is the principal investigator for the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (ARHQ) funded Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) study and principal investigator for a subcontract to UCLA from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) project.
