Dr. Luisa Blanco, a professor at Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy and RCMAR CHIME alumnus, has been awarded the 2024 Stephen D. Davis Award for Scholarly Achievement. The honor, presented at the Pepperdine Faculty Conference, celebrates Blanco’s impactful research in financial literacy, retirement preparedness, and health disparities, particularly among minority and immigrant communities in the U.S. and Latin America.
Blanco’s work includes “Mind Your Money,” a nationally recognized digital program aimed at improving financial behaviors among Latino adults, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She also led MivacunaLA, a mobile intervention to boost COVID-19 vaccination rates among low-income Latino families.
