Projects

  • “The impact of intimacy and partner support on Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) among older African American, Latina, and Asian American breast and cervical cancer survivors.” Dr. Sanchez’ RCMAR/CHIME-funded project sought to: 1) assess the relationship and differences between partner support, intimacy and four HRQOL domains among Latina, African and Asian American, breast and cervical cancer survivors in comparison to Euro-American survivors; 2) determine whether any observed ethnic differences are explained by demographic and clinical variables; and 3) identify shared and unique relationship concerns of among two cohorts of female cancers survivors (64 yrs or younger; 65+ years). The datasets were drawn from two population-based, cross-sectional studies of an ethnically diverse group of breast and cervical cancer survivors from Los Angeles County, CA.
